Welcome to Allora Birth & Wellness

Hi, I’m Kristen, and if you’re reading this, I’m guessing you’re somewhere on the wild, beautiful path of pregnancy or new parenthood. Welcome!

I started Allora Birth & Wellness in 2020 because I believe every family deserves support that feels grounded, compassionate, and real. Bringing a baby into the world is no small feat, and unfortunately, our society doesn’t always offer the kind of community and guidance we need during such a big transition. That’s where I can come in. I provide support that builds confidence instead of fear and offers clarity without the overwhelm. My goal is to be a calm, encouraging presence as you move through birth, postpartum, and all the big (and small) decisions that come with raising tiny humans.

Who I Am (and Why I’m Here)

I’m a birth and postpartum doula, childbirth educator, and CPR + safety instructor with a passion for providing the kind of education and support that can make a difference during life’s big transitions. I also have a background in public health, with a Master of Public Health degree focused on maternal and child health. That means I geek out on research, injury prevention, and evidence-based practices, but I also know that bringing a baby into the world can be messy and unpredictable and requires some realism and understanding.

I firmly believe that the right support (whether in birth or life) is essential. Our society doesn’t always provide that kind of community during major life transitions, but it’s my mission to bring that support to you in a way that feels personal, safe, and empowering.

What Allora Means

Allora is an Italian word that roughly means “so, then…” It’s the kind of word that invites a pause, a deep breath before something meaningful. That little moment of reflection before moving forward.

And that’s exactly the vibe I want to bring into this space. Whether you’re learning and preparing for birth, ready to rock your labor, navigating new parenthood, or figuring out how to babyproof your home, there’s always a moment to stop, take a breath, and move forward with intention.

To me, Allora also feels like a light or a soft glow in the middle of uncertainty. And that’s what I hope my clients feel when they work with me. A little more clarity. A little more calm. A little more light.
